| 概要・趣旨 |
TAMTAM MOBILE aims to place residents at the heart of its activities, not simply as beneficiaries but as participants in sustainable, participatory development to improve living conditions in slums—environments that are often negatively perceived. The association works to manage and preserve these fragile environments, where vulnerable residents often face severe poverty. Its activities include household waste management, individual and collective sanitation, education, and community-based communication aimed at changing perceptions. TAMTAM MOBILE also serves as a laboratory for action research, developing locally appropriate solutions through collaboration with public institutions, private-sector organizations, universities, independent researchers, students, and NGOs, with results that have exceeded expectations. Through these activities, our main objective for this conference is to invite you to “see slums differently.” |
